ABOUT PROJECT AMERICAN HEROES --
In 2007, Super Chevy magazine, in conjunction with over 44 automotive aftermarket performance product companies built a breath taking 1957 Chevrolet Convertible on behalf of the men and women of our Armed Services. The car was auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach Florida and netted a $130,000.00 donation to the Armed forces Foundation and their hard work and support of our veterans. (Please see provided LINK for added details).
This year we will again enlist the support of automotive aftermarket companies on our second build of an American and Chevrolet icon, a 1969 RS / SS Camaro. We have set an extremely aggressive build schedule of ONLY 118 days to be available to unveil this creative of automotive art at the SUPER CHEVY SHOW at Route 66 Raceway on August 9th. This could only happen through the extreme dedication of ROUTE 66 MOTORSPORTS and their talent crew of professional craftsmen along with the many manufactures whose logos appear on this page and our THE TEAM Page, which we encourage you to visit.
We invite you to visit this web site often and follow along the progress of the build as we post to our GALLERY Page on-going. Complete details of the build as it progresses at ROUTE 66 MOTORSPORTS and the many parts used, supplied by our Project American Heroes sponsored performance companies, beginning with the September 2008 issue of SUPER CHEVY Magazine.
